Missions

Scripture commands us not only to tithe, but also to use our resources individually and collectively to support missions locally, regionally, nationally and globally. Sharing the Gospel is our main mission, and we can multiply our impact by supporting ministries that are doing just that. Each month moving forward throughout the year, we will feature a ministry that will receive a Sargent Baptist Church donation. We encourage our members to make a personal donation to help support these worthy organizations.
Here are our missions emphases for 2025

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
Website for more information: Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® – IMB Generosity
Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem — LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence. She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.® 100% of every gift is sent directly to missionaries on the field so they may take the good news of Jesus to every corner of the earth.
