Our Pastor

Michael Cook grew up in Chattooga County in the small town of Trion, Georgia. While pursuing a career in medicine, he sensed God’s call to ministry and chose to follow that calling. During that time, he served as a volunteer chaplain at Tanner Medical Center and as Men’s Discipleship Leader with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at his college campus.

Pastor Michael is currently completing a Master of Divinity in Preaching and Pastoral Ministry through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and expects to graduate soon.
His ministry experience includes serving as Discipleship Pastor at Dry Valley Baptist Church in Summerville, Georgia, and later as Student Pastor and Associate Pastor at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia.

Michael and his wife, Kelsey, are the parents of twins and are excited to begin this new chapter of ministry. He is passionate about preaching God’s perfect Word, making disciples, reaching the lost, and helping believers grow in their walk with Christ. He looks forward to serving the church and the surrounding community in the years ahead.
