Our Pastor
Rev. Cody Ansley
Rev. Cody is a native of Cleveland, Georgia where he attended and graduated from White County High School in 2010 before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies with a concentration in Biblical Theology from Truett-McConnell College. Upon his graduation in 2014 with his undergraduate degree, Rev. Cody pursued a Masters of Arts in Theology from Truett McConnell University where he was the second graduate of the Masters program in 2017.
- Prior to attending college, Cody gave his life to Jesus at age 13 while on a fishing trip with a mentor from the Boys and Girls Club in Cleveland, GA. During a summer revival in 2008 at his home church, Cody sensed the LORD calling him to preach. Cody ran from that calling for almost two months before surrendering on August 30, 2008. Since 2008, Cody grew in his calling through Christian Learning Center Classes at his local high school and pursing Christian education at Truett-McConnell.
- Cody’s first opportunity to serve in vocation ministry came in August of 2014 when Charity Baptist Church in Homer, GA called him to serve as their Student Pastor. Cody served two wonderful years at Charity before accepting an opportunity to be the full-time Student Minister at FBC Sandersville in Sandersville, GA; serving from May 2016 until July 2019. Cody’s first opportunity to pastor came in March of 2020 when Westview Baptist Church in Milledgeville, GA called him to be their pastor and he served at Westview until December 2023 when he accepted the call to pastor Sargent Baptist Church in January 2024.
- Cody is married to Jessi and they are blessed to be the parents of five wonderful children.
