What We Believe

Inerrancy of the Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the perfect inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God. Because of the nature of the Bible, it is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

God

We believe in One God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each distinct person in the Godhead is fully God and equal in power. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 3:16-17. Matthew 17:5-8)

Man

We believe God created man and woman in the image of God for the purpose of having dominion over that which God created (Genesis 1:26-27). Adam and Eve willfully disobeyed God when tempted resulting in the fall of man because of sin. Adam and Eve’s sin brought the curse of death that was passed down to all of humanity. Due to Adam and Eve’s fall into sin by choosing to disobey God’s command, all mankind is separated from God and realizing the purpose for which they were created (dominion over the creation). Only by believing in the atoning death of Jesus Christ, the second and perfect Adam, can men and women be brought from death to life.

Salvation

We believe that men and women are made up of body, soul, and spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Therefore, each the body, soul, and spirit were affected by The Fall due to sin and each need to be redeemed through salvation. We believe that this salvation was made possible through Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus’ work of providing salvation to mankind’s body, soul, and spirit corresponds with His three offices: Prophet, Priest, and King.

Spiritual Salvation: The initial belief upon Jesus’ substitutionary death in our place upon the cross as was prophesied according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8); Jesus’ office as prophet
-Salvation of the Soul: This is sometimes understood as sanctification. This aspect of salvation deals with believers being saved in order to receive the Kingdom Inheritance as the bride and co-heirs with Christ Jesus in His Millennial Reign (2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 19:7-8; Revelation 20). The bride and co-heirs are also referred to in Revelation 2-3 by Jesus as overcomers who obtain the promises. This process of salvation is made possible through a believer following through in Jesus’ invitation to be a disciple by embracing the invitation to suffer for righteousness while confessing sins committed in order to be cleansed from all unrighteousness so that the fruits of righteousness can be produced which are the righteous acts of the saints (Matthew 16:24; Philippians 1:29; 1 John 1:9; Revelation 19:6-7). Those who obtain this salvation will be revealed at the Judgment Seat of Christ (1 Corinthians 3:10-15). This aspect of salvation corresponds to Jesus’ role as High Priest.

Salvation of the Body: This is sometimes referred to as glorification. This aspect of salvation is when believers will have a new glorified body like that of Christ. This body will be given following the resurrection of the saints. This body will not be prone to sickness or death-consequences of The Fall of Man but will be incorruptible (Romans 6:16-18; 1 Corinthians 15:42-44; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 John 3:2; Colossians 3:4; Romans 8:29-30). This body will enable overcomers to reign with Christ (Revelation 22:1-5). This aspect of salvation corresponds to Jesus’ role as King.

The Church

We believe the Church is made up of local autonomous churches that are comprised of baptized believers called out from the world for the purpose of encouraging one another through worship, discipleship, service, and the advancement of the Gospel. (Matthew 16:15-19; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-42, 47: 1 Corinthians 1:2; 1 Corinthains 9:13-14; Revelation 2-3).

We believe in the two ordinances Jesus commanded:

Believer’s Baptism by Immersion: A public declaration of faith in Christ in response to His invitation to discipleship. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)

The Lord’s Supper: A memorial of Christ’s death that is to be observed until He returns.
(Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

The Kingdom

We believe the Kingdom of God is God’s rule over His creation and the complete consummation of His Kingdom will come about in Jesus’ Second Coming when He will redeem the forfeited inheritance stemming from Adam. (Matthew 6:10; Revelation 5)

Last Things

We believe in the rapture of the saints (Genesis 5:24; Numbers 35:11-28; Joshua 20; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7). We believe in the bodily second coming of Christ when He will redeem the inheritance forfeited by Adam with His Overcoming Bride (The Church) and restore Israel to its covenanted relationship with God the Father. (Revelation 5, 20-21)

There will be Three distinct Judgments during the End Times:

Judgment Seat of Christ: Judgment of believers in Christ according to their works. The results of this judgment will result in rewards and inheritance for overcomers while carnal overcome believers receive a loss of reward and a forfeiting of the Kingdom Inheritance (Genesis 18-19; Ruth; 1 Corinthians 3: 10-15; Revelation 2-3; Revelation 20)

The Great White Throne Judgment: This is the judgement of unbelievers. These unbelievers will be judged according to their works and cast into the Lake of Fire (Genesis 19; Revelation 20:11-15).

The Judgment of the Sheep and Goats: This is the Judgment of the Tribulation Saints and will result in inheriting the Kingdom or being cast into the Lake of Fire (Matthew 25:31-46).

Evangelism and Missions

We believe it is the duty of all believers to obey Jesus’ commission to make disciples of all nations by proclaiming the Gospel (Matthew 28:18-20; Philippians 1:12, 27)

Family

We believe marriage to be the foundational institution of human society, composed of persons related by marriage, blood or adoption (Ephesians 6:1-4). We believe marriage to be the union of a biological man and a biological woman in covenant one with another before God and only honorably broken through death (Genesis 1:27, 2:24; Matthew 19:6; Hebrews 13:4)
